Santa Ana, Costa Rica
For over fifteen years, Conversa has offered a Spanish program for active adults during the months of February and March, and more recently, we've began offering our retiree program in November and December as well. This doesn't mean that if you're an active adult or retiree, that you can only participate during this time (nor does it mean that if you're not 55 years young you can't join the program). However, during these months we put together a number of activities that are not normally offered as part of the program. For more information, check out our Spanish Program for Retirees page.
While January and May through August tend to be the months when we work with the majority of our college students, we offer accredited college courses year round. Throughout the course of the year we work with students from many different colleges and universities, primarily throughout the United States, who come to Conversa to improve their Spanish. In some cases, college students come as part of a faculty-led group, and in other cases they participate independently, earning credit through Conversa's accreditation partners in the United States. If you're interested in learning more about earning college credit in Costa Rica, take a look at our College Accredited Spanish Immersion Program. We offer short-term (2-week) programs, 4-8 week programs, and Summer and Semester Abroad programs.
Over the years we've become pretty good at partnering with educational institutions to design and provide tailor-made Spanish programs and combined programs. We're well equipped to provide room and board (on our campus or with host families), Spanish language instruction and logistical support, while sharing our knowledge with group leaders to ensure the best experience for the students.
A successful program requires a well-thought-out itinerary, taking into account the value of the selected activities, logistics surrounding the program, budget and flexibility. Every group is slightly different and requires special consideration. If you're looking to bring a group to Costa Rica, please let us know how we might be of assistance in developing or adapting the program to fit your needs. It might help to take a look at a sample itinerary for groups.
As Latin American populations grow in the United States, Canada and even throughout Europe, more and more parents are becoming interested in having their children develop Spanish skills at an early age. Our Santa Ana program is quite well suited to accommodate families with children, big and small. Spanish lessons for kids don't get any better than at our Learning Park.
At Conversa we feel very fortunate to have been in the business for as long as we have. This has allowed us to earn a reputation for being a serious Spanish training program. Along with this reputation, we've earned the trust of different organizations to support their training needs.
From lawyers to software engineers and social workers to economists, every year we work with dozens of professionals who are looking to strengthen their Spanish, or to add Spanish to their toolset altogether. If you're looking for someone to partner with to support you in this undertaking, we'll be happy to chat about how we can help. Just let us know.
If you're still not sure if this might be a good fit for you, please give us a call. There's no better way to figure this out than actually having the chance to talk about it. You can reach us at 1-888-669-1664, or you can contact us and we'll be happy to return the call. One way or the other, we'd love to chat with you.
