A Little Tougher to Reach
Here are a few options for those looking to REALLY get into it. Some of these destinations are tougher to reach, but well worth the trip!Corcovado National Park: This is a definite favorite among true eco-travelers. As green as it comes, vibrant and overwhelming. Try flying though. If you make it down there, we recommend Luna Lodge - owned and managed by a Conversa Alum - Lana Wedmore...
Cerro Chirripó: Costa Rica's highest peak - at 12,533 feet, it's up there - and it's coooold too - by Costa Rican standards of course. Beautiful views, fantastic workout. At least a three day trip...
Río Celeste: This is a true gem. Not a lot of lodging options though... Oh, and maybe not great for teens - not their cup of tea...
