Conversa Aquires Conversa.COM - .NET Not Happy...
After almost twelve years thinking about it, we've finally got it! In December of 2008 Conversa sealed the deal on acquiring Conversa.COM! What does this mean to you? Not much - although we were probably a bit easier for you to find than it would have been just a short while back.
Conversa has had a home on the web since 1996. However, back then we went by conversa.co.cr (.co.cr being Costa Rica's domain extension). As you can imagine, for someone trying to figure out where to find us, .co.cr is probably not the first place they'd look.
Then a few years later, when we figured we should get a ".COM", conversa.COM was already taken. A business by the name of "Conversational Computing" in Redmond, Washington beat us to it... Oh well, what are you going to do. Register conversa.NET... and beg and plea for .COM! That's what!
Early on in 2008, after several attempts to communicate with Conversational Computing, we finally struck .com gold... After reaching an agreement with CC, we transferred ownership of the domain conversa.COM to yours truly! So now what?
We're working on it. We do hope you're enjoying our site though, and that your interest in learning Spanish has not been discouraged at all by our interest in acquiring conversa.COM!
